Project’s vision to revolutionize space thermal management is steadily taking shape, and the recent journey of the Pulsating Heat Pipe (PHP) from Pisa to Brighton is a significant milestone in this epic odyssey. Guided by the hands of team leader Alessandro, the PHP embarked on a transcontinental voyage, crossing borders and boundaries to reach its new home in the United Kingdom.
The PHP, a marvel of engineering and innovation, made its way to Brighton tucked safely inside a meticulously crafted wooden case. Designed to withstand the rigors of air travel, this custom-made case ensured the PHP’s safe passage in the cargo hold of the aircraft. It’s a testament to the team’s dedication and attention to detail, reflecting the level of care they’ve poured into every aspect of the DEPLOY! Project.
Upon its arrival in Brighton, the PHP was greeted by team member Erin and Dr. Nicolas Miché, one of the project’s esteemed supervisors. Under Dr. Miché’s guidance, the team has transitioned into the critical phase of physically constructing the experiment and preparing for an intensive testing campaign.
Alessandro, the custodian of the PHP during its journey, will remain in Brighton for the months of June and July, ensuring that every component aligns perfectly with the project’s vision. It’s a commitment that goes beyond borders, transcending geographical distances in the pursuit of groundbreaking space technology.
